With the historic presidential election only 6 weeks away, both the Obama and McCain campaigns are working tirelessly to get their candidates elected. Especially here in Ohio, the campaigns are working to "swing" voters in their candidates direction.
Over the next 6 weeks, I will be working for WOIO, 19 Action News in Cleveland on getting up close and personal with the McCain campaign headquarters in Columbus. I will be imbedded in the campaign and go in-depth to see what exactly the campaign is doing to try and win over the state of Ohio. I will capture the behind the scenes activity of the campaign headquarters, including voter registration drives, coordinating poll volunteers, natural sound with campaign managers, and live campaign events in the Columbus area.
These reports will then air on WOIO on Sunday mornings and evenings. I will be working with another Ohio University student who will cover the Obama campaign headquarters in Columbus. It is sure to be a great experience, both politically and journalistically!
